Technical : Nothing has launched the Nothing Ear Stick as its new earbuds in global markets including India. The earbuds cost Rs 8499 in India and the company claims that the latest wireless earbuds from Nothing can listen to songs for up to 7 hours and make calls for up to 3 hours on a single charge. At the same time, with the charging case, it will get a total battery life of up to 29 hours. The sale of Nothing Year Stick will start from November 4. The company has started taking pre-orders for the latest earbuds.

This is Nothing's third product. The new earbuds are completely different from the current Nothing Ear (1) and come with a slew of new features. Let us tell in detail everything about the new earbuds ...

Design, Specifications and Features

The Nothing Ear Stick comes with a new vertical, cylindrical case that looks like a lipstick. There is no hinge or lid on the body of the case, but the earbuds have to be twisted to open. The case comes with a USB-C charging port, though it doesn't offer wireless charging support. In comparison, the Nothing Ear 1 gets a squarish case, which used to support wireless charging. It has a transparent lid, so you can see it without opening it.

Coming to the earbuds, the new ear stick features a 12.6mm dynamic driver, support for AAC and SBC codecs, and a Nothing Signature Transparent Design with a stem design. The company claims that the earbuds alone provide up to 7 hours of listening time and up to 3 hours of calling time on a full charge, while the case comes with a total battery life of up to 29 hours. The Ear 1 on the other hand has silicone-tipped earbuds and comes with Active Noise Cancellation (ANC), which the ear stick does not.

There are no silicone tips this time around, and you get button-based gestures. The earbuds also come with IP54 dust and water resistance, in-ear detection, and support for Google Fast Pair as well as Microsoft Swift Pair. It supports Bluetooth 5.2 and will work with Android 5.1 and above, as well as iOS 11 and above.

Nothing X App

Nothing X also introduced the Nothing X App that users can use to customize the ear stick's sound output to their liking as well as configure gestures. The app is primarily for users who don't use the Nothing Phone 1 and interestingly, the app also allows users to find the earbuds when they are lost.

A low-lag mode kicks in automatically to reduce latency while gaming on the Phone 1. Nothing Phone 1 users will also get some more exclusive features, including custom equalizer gestures, software updates and all the capabilities of the Nothing X application.

price and availability

The Nothing Year stick is priced at Rs 8,499 and will be available for purchase in India via open sale on Myntra and Flipkart from November 17, which is much later than the international availability starting November 4. Notably, the Nothing Year 1 is currently priced at Rs 7,299 (White variant) and Rs 8,499 (Black variant) on Flipkart.
