On the complaint of MLA Ajay Dutt, the Special Cell of Delhi Police has started investigation by registering an FIR. A few days back, Aam Aadmi Party MLA from Burari Sanjeev Jha was made a threat call asking for protection money of Rs 10 lakh. According to the special cell, both the MLAs have been threatened with the same number. The number is not from India.

In a joint press conference with both the MLAs, Aam Aadmi Party's national spokesperson Sanjay Singh said that the law and order situation in Delhi has "completely collapsed". He said that Union Home Minister Amit Shah should intervene for the safety of the common people. The Rajya Sabha member claimed that Dutt and Jha were called by the same person.

MLA got 24 calls

Singh said that our MLA Sanjeev Jha had received a threat call on June 20, after which we lodged an FIR on June 21 and the matter was handed over to the Special Cell of Delhi Police. Even after this, Jha has received 24 calls for extortion so far. Now MLA Ajay Dutt has received a call threatening to extort and kill him. Look at the courage of the mafia.

'Law and order completely destroyed'

He said that this is the condition of Delhi. Law and order has completely collapsed in the national capital. In the press conference, Singh narrated the audio recording of the call to Jha on June 20 in which the caller is demanding Rs 10 lakh from the MLA. The caller identified himself as Vicky Cobra and gangster Neeraj Bawana's accomplice and said that he and his family would be murdered if Jha did not pay the money. In the press conference, Dutt said that he had received a call on June 22.

Bawana lodged in Tihar Jail

Ambedkar Nagar MLA said that the caller on WhatsApp told me to give Rs 5 lakh as 'protection money' or else he will shoot me. Later he sent me a video showing how a bullet would be fired in a pistol to kill me.
