India / Odisha reports 2,819 new COVID-19 cases, total cases reach 75,537

Bhubaneshwar: Odisha Saturday reported 2,819 new COVID-19 cases, taking the total tally in the state to 75,537.

Nine more fatalities pushed the death toll across the state to 399, informed the Health and Family Welfare Department.

Out of the 2,819 new cases, 1,691 cases were reported from quarantine centres while 1,128 are local contacts.

District wise breakdown: Angul reported 23 new cases, Balasore 105, Bargarh 136, Bhadrak 77, Balangir 56, Boudh six, Cuttack 257, Dhenkanal 100, Gajapati 62, Ganjam 192, Jagatsinghpur 48, Jajpur 120, Jharsuguda 63, Kalahandi 55, Kandhamal 44, Kendrapara 62, Keonjhar seven, Khurda 443, Koraput 81, Malkangiri 83, Mayurbhanj 219, Nabarangpur 43, Nayagarh 64, Nuapada one, Puri 109, Rayagada 147, Sambalpur 145, Sonepur 14 and Sundargarh 57.

The total number of active cases in the state now stands at 24,582.
