Petrol Diesel Price / Oil prices soars again, petrol reaches near rs 108

Petrol-Diesel prices have increased again today. Alam is that the price of petrol in Rajasthan's Sri Ganganagar has now reached close to Rs 108, and diesel has crossed Rs 100. Sri Ganganagar is the first city in the country where the diesel rate has crossed Rs 100. Petrol prices have crossed Rs 100 in 7 states of the country.

Petrol-diesel became expensive again today

Today petrol has become costlier by 22-25 paise per liter, while the price of diesel has increased by 12-15 paise per liter. Crude oil is trading around $73 per barrel in the international market. Due to which there is a possibility of further increase in prices. Petrol and diesel prices have increased wildly this year, while the reduction has happened only 4 times. Talking about this year only, petrol prices have increased by about 14% so far. In March and April, when the assembly elections of 5 states were to be held, the prices remained stagnant. Rather, there was a cut thrice in March and once in April.

Prices increased 9 times in June so far

The rate of petrol in Mumbai has crossed Rs 102 per liter. While diesel has reached close to Rs 95. The prices have increased 9 times in June so far. Petrol has become costlier by Rs 2.2 in June while diesel has become costlier by Rs 2.03.

Petrol became costlier by Rs 4.09 in May

Prior to this, the prices of petrol and diesel were increased 16 times in the month of May. Petrol-diesel prices were increased for 4 consecutive days from May 4, while due to elections, there was peace in the prices of petrol and diesel for the first 18 days. In the entire month of May, the rate of petrol in Delhi has become costlier by Rs 4.09. While diesel has become costlier by Rs 4.68 this month.

Petrol-diesel became cheaper in March, April

Common people got some relief from expensive petrol and diesel on 15 April. Petrol and diesel prices were cut thrice in April and in the month of March. The last change in the prices of petrol and diesel before 15 April was on 30 March 2021. Then petrol was 22 paise and diesel 23 paise cheaper in Delhi. In March, petrol became cheaper by 61 paise and diesel by 60 paise. The biggest reason for the reduction in the prices of petrol and diesel three times in the month of March was the weakness of crude oil in the global market.

Petrol in Mumbai reached close to Rs 103!

The rate of petrol in Delhi today is Rs 96.66, in Mumbai today is Rs 102.82, petrol in Kolkata is Rs 96.58. And in Chennai, petrol is being sold at Rs 97.91.

Petrol becomes costlier by Rs 12 in 2021

So far in the year 2021, oil prices have been raised 50 times. Petrol has become costlier by Rs 12.95 per liter during this period. On January 1, the price of petrol was Rs 83.71, today it is Rs 96.66 per liter. Similarly, diesel has become costlier by Rs 13.54 per liter in Delhi from January 1 till today. On January 1, the price of diesel in Delhi was Rs 73.87 per liter, today it is Rs 87.41.

After petrol, now let's take a look at the prices of diesel today. Diesel in Mumbai is Rs 94.84. Diesel is being sold in Delhi at Rs 87.41 per liter. Diesel is being sold at Rs 90.25 in Kolkata and the rate of diesel in Chennai is Rs 92.04.
