New Delhi : The states have urged the central leadership to give preference to local leaders for deciding the Rajya Sabha candidate in the BJP. The panel of names sent to the Center from different states consists mostly of sitting MPs and local leaders among the new names. The central leadership will put its stamp on the names after Prime Minister Narendra Modi returns from his visit to Japan.
