Israel Independence Day / Prime Minister Modi gave best wishes, said- the history of our relationship is very old

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday greeted the citizens of Israel on the occasion of its 75th Independence Day and expressed hope that the ties between the two countries will deepen in the years to come. In a video message, Modi said, "On the occasion of the 75th Independence Day of Israel, on behalf of the Government of India and all Indians, I extend my warm greetings to all our Israeli friends."


Referring to the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations between India-Israel, he said that although this chapter is new, the history of relations between the two countries is very old. "I hope that in the years to come, we will further deepen our ties," Modi said.


Earlier in the day, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar tweeted a message to his Israeli counterpart Yair Lapid, "Congratulations to my friend APM and Foreign Minister Yair Lapid and the Government and people of Israel on their 74th Independence Day. "We will work together to realize the joint vision of our strategic partnership," he said.


External Affairs Minister Jaishankar reached the program

External Affairs Minister Dr. S Jaishankar participated in the program organized to commemorate the 74th Independence Day of Israel in Delhi today. During this, while addressing the people, he said that this is a great occasion because we are celebrating 30 years of our diplomatic relations with India and Israel as well as celebrating 75 years of Israel's independence. He further said that this has expanded our relationship which is very helpful.


Israeli Ambassador to India appreciates India

On the occasion of Israel's Independence Day program and India-Israel relations, Israel Ambassador to India Naor Gilone said that our relations are very good, the proof of this is that the Foreign Minister came here to honor us as soon as he came from Europe. Which we appreciate. I think it is a symbol of friendship between our countries. We extend special thanks to our special guest Minister Jaishankar.


Further Ambassador Naor said that I quote my guest of honor to say that last October, during his visit to Israel, External Affairs Minister Jaishankar said that our relations did not start 30 years ago. It is a connection between very old civilizations that is probably the basis of very healthy bilateral relations between two modern countries.


Israeli Film Festival to be held in Delhi

Also, Reuma Mantzur, member of the Cultural Department of the Israel Embassy in India, said that on the completion of 30 years of Israel-India relations, we brought in 'Fauda' actor Tsahi Halevi. We have an exhibition on May 8 in Kolkata. After that we will organize Israeli Film Festivals in Kolkata and Delhi in India from 12th May.


Three killed in violent attack on Israel's Independence Day

Three people were killed and three others seriously injured in a violent attack in the Israeli city of Elad on the occasion of Independence Day on Thursday. Police are yet to confirm whether the victims were stabbed or shot and the circumstances are under investigation. The attacker was shot. The municipality has appealed to the people not to come out of their homes.
