Rahul Gandhi Predicts Modi Government Will Be On Its Knees Within One Year

Rahul Gandhi has predicted that the Modi government will face a severe economic crisis within a year, leading to its downfall. Speaking at a Congress Minority Department meeting, he emphasized that polarization politics is failing and urged the party to fight for the oppressed by name.

Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, has made a significant political prediction regarding the future of the Narendra Modi-led central government. During the first meeting of the Advisory Council called by the Congress Minority Department in Delhi, Gandhi asserted that the current government would be forced to its knees within the next year due to a looming economic crisis. He emphasized that the government would find itself unable to manage the deteriorating financial situation of the country, stating confidently that his predictions are rarely proven wrong.

Economic Crisis and Foreign Investment Concerns

Addressing the gathering of 52 prominent leaders from the minority community, Rahul Gandhi highlighted that the economic conditions of India are set to worsen. He pointed out that foreign investment in the country is on a downward trend, which he believes is a clear indicator of a massive economic crisis on the horizon. According to Gandhi, the Modi government lacks the capacity to handle this impending financial storm. He further suggested that the political stability of the government is tied to its ability to manage elections, claiming that if elections weren't managed, the government would start losing them within the next year.

A Shift from Polarization to Class Struggle

Rahul Gandhi stated that the politics of polarization will no longer work in the country, while he framed the current national struggle as a conflict between the rich and the poor, rather than a religious or communal one. He urged the Congress Party to rise above community boundaries and lead the fight for the poor. Gandhi emphasized that the party must openly and fearlessly fight for any community facing atrocities. He specifically mentioned that if women, Dalits, or Muslims are being targeted, the party should take their names directly and stand by them.

Internal Party Discussions and Leadership Views

The meeting also saw significant contributions from other senior Congress leaders. Imran Pratapgarhi, the Chairman of the Minority Department, stressed the need for the party to increase its dialogue and engagement with the minority community. Abhishek Manu Singhvi suggested that the Congress Party should now start discussing the economic crisis specifically with the minority community to build a broader understanding of the national situation. Meanwhile, Imran Masood raised a critical point regarding the party's electoral strategy, while he argued that Muslim leaders often ask the community to vote for Congress just to defeat the BJP, but he insisted that the party should instead seek votes based on its own ideology and principles.

Direct Attack on Prime Minister Modi

Rahul Gandhi's remarks at the meeting follow his recent aggressive stance on social media. In a post on his X handle, he had previously criticized the Prime Minister's leadership style. He wrote that an economic storm is overhead while the Prime Minister is busy distributing toffees in Italy. He mentioned that farmers, youth, women, laborers, and small traders are all suffering, while the PM is busy making reels and BJP members are applauding. Gandhi dismissed this as drama rather than leadership, reinforcing his stance that the government is disconnected from the economic realities of the common citizen.
