Mumbai / Rajkummar Rao says can't wait to start The White Tiger with Priyanka Chopra

Rajkummar Rao and Priyanka Chopra, now that's a pairing that everyone is waiting to see. The two powerhouses of talent have collaborated for the first time for Iranian filmmaker Ramin Bahrani's The White Tiger. Based on Aravind Adiga's Man Booker Prize-winning novel of the same name, the film will be released on Netflix. And more than the fans, it is Rajkummar Rao who is excited to begin shooting for the film.

Rajkummar, who recently met Priyanka and the team of The White Tiger, took to Twitter to share his excitement.

Posting pictures with Priyanka, Rajkummar wrote, "Can't wait to start #TheWhiteTiger with these supremely talented people. @priyankachopra #RaminBahrani #AdarshGourav #MukulDeora @netflix @NetflixIndia"

Talking about the project, the Made In China actor earlier told IANS, "I am very excited about that film. It's a great book and has a beautiful story. I have met (director) Ramin (Bahrani). He is a great guy. I am really looking forward to start working with Priyanka in the film. I think Priyanka is phenomenally talented, so we will have a good time together while shooting the film."

It was early this month that Priyanka made the big announcement about The White Tiger. The 37-year-old actress wrote, "So looking forward to these two projects. Working with both @rodriguez and #RaminBahrani is like night and day, and that’s so exciting for me. Between #TheSkyIsPink releasing at @tiff_net next week, filming #WeCanBeHeroes and bringing one of my favorite books to life, #WhiteTiger, as both an actor and EP, looks like it will be an awesome end to the year. @netflix."

Priyanka, who is in Mumbai for The Sky Is Pink promotions, will soon begin shooting for The White Tiger with Rajkummar. The 37-year-old actress was recently in Canada for the premiere of The Sky Is Pink at Toronto International Fillm Festival (TIFF). The film, directed by Shonali Bose, got a standing ovation at TIFF. And now Priyanka is gearing up for the India release of the film.

But before that she met the cast and team of The White Tiger in Mumbai.

It is for the first time that Priyanka and Rajkummar will share screen space, and it would be interesting to see this on-screen collaboration.
