Coronavirus / Rise of 678 COVID-19 cases, 33 deaths in last 24 hours in India

Ministry of Health and Family Welfare's Joint Secretary Lav Agarwal today said that 33 coronavirus deaths were reported in India in last 24 hours, which is the most number of deaths reported in a day so far. He added that 678 new cases were reported in last 24 hours. India has reported 6,412 coronavirus cases and 199 deaths so far.

New Delhi: Rise of 678 COVID-19 cases, 33 deaths in last 24 hours in India. No community transmission in the country yet, no need to panic, says Health ministry. Overall 6412 people have been infected by the virus and 199 deaths have been reported. 

Lav Aggarwal says Health workers are on the frontline in the battle against Coronavirus & any type of misbehaviour with them is harmful to us. Incidents of misbehaviour with them negatively affects their morale.

The Order for 49000 ventilator has been placed and there procurement will begin soon. The government is working to combat the challenge in every way they can. The Joint Secretary once again urged people to not misbehave with the healthcare workers and said that this hurts their morale. He also requested people to not attach stigma with the situation and nthe people who have tested for the illness.
