Samsung is bringing another Galaxy A series smartphone in India. Galaxy A80 with rotating camera will launch in India next month.

Samsung had launched Galaxy A80 along with the Galaxy A70 in Thailand last month. Galaxy A70 is already available in India at Rs 28,990. The new Galaxy A80 smartphone will be priced between Rs 40,000 to Rs 50,000, Samsung told Hindustan Times. This would make the Galaxy A80 compete with phones like the OnePlus 7 Pro.

Galaxy A80 would also be the most expensive Galaxy A series smartphone. Earlier this year Samsung revamped its Galaxy A series with plans to launch smartphones starting at Rs 10,000 and going up to Rs 50,000. The company said it has sold 5 million units of Galaxy A phones so far and made $1 billion in revenue. Samsung has set target of $4 billion in revenues from Galaxy A for this calendar year.

The highlight of Galaxy A80 is its rotating camera mechanism. The smartphone uses its triple rear cameras for selfies as well. The triple-camera setup includes a 48-megapixel primary camera, 8-megapixel sensor for 123 degree ultra wide angle in addition to another 3D depth sensor. The 3D depth camera brings “Live Focus” videos by scanning objects for measurement and depth.

Samsung Galaxy A80 features a 6.7-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED “New Infinity” display and Gorilla Glass 6 protection. It is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 730G processor, and houses a 3,700 mAh battery that comes equipped with “super-fast” charging capability. The smartphone offers up to 8GB RAM along with 128GB internal storage.
