IPL Live 2020 / Sunrisers Hyderabad beat Rajasthan Royals by 08 wickets

In the 40th match of the 13th season of IPL, Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) defeated Rajasthan Royals (RR) by 08 wickets. Batting after losing the toss in the match played in Dubai, Rajasthan gave a target of 155 runs. In reply, Hyderabad won the match by scoring 156 runs for 2 wickets in 18.1 overs.


Manish Pandey scored the highest unbeaten 83 in the IPL, putting his 18th fifty. Vijay Shankar scored an unbeaten 52 in the IPL, his third fifty. Both unbeaten 140 runs for the third wicket. Jofra Archer of Rajasthan got 2 wickets. With this win, Hyderabad has moved up to 5th place in the points table.


Warner-Bairstow did not run

Hyderabad captain David Warner and Johnny Bairstow could not do much in the match. Warner (4) was caught by Jofra Archer at the hands of Ben Stokes on the fourth ball of the first over of the innings. Archer then bowled Bairstow (10) in his next over to give Rajasthan another success.


Holder stopped Rajasthan at 154

Earlier, Jason Holder, playing his first match in the season, stopped Rajasthan from scoring big. Rajasthan scored 154 runs for 6 wickets in 20 overs. Holder took 3 wickets for 33 runs in 4 overs. Holder also dismissed Uthappa.


Sanju Samson scored 36 and Ben Stokes scored 30 runs for Rajasthan. Apart from this, Ryan Parag was out for 20 runs. Joffra Archer 16 and Rahul Teotia 2 not out. Apart from the holder, Rashid Khan and Vijay Shankar got one wicket each.


47 runs scored in power-play

Rajasthan did not have a good start. Robin Uthappa and Ben Stokes started the innings closely. Uthappa got off to a good start, but could not convert it into a big score. Uthappa was run out after scoring 19 runs. Stokes and Sanju Samson then took over the innings and moved the score to 47 in the power-play.


Stokes-Samson took over

Stokes-Samson took the inning after the first wicket fell quickly. Both shared a 56-run partnership for the second wicket. Samson was bowled by Jason Holder for 36 runs. After this, Stokes (30) was also out on Rashid Khan's ball.


Butler-Smith did not bat

The bat of Jos Buttler and captain Steve Smith did not play in this match. Buttler was dismissed by 9 runs off Vijay Shankar. After this, Steve Smith also scored 19 runs and was out on Holder's ball. On the next ball, Holder showed Ryan Parag (20) the way to the pavilion.
