Ahmedabad. Indian T20 team vice-captain Suryakumar Yadav said on Tuesday that the pitch does not matter much and he is ready to play on any kind of surface, playing down the pitch controversy at the Ekana Stadium. In the second T20 match against New Zealand (IND vs NZ) on Sunday, Indian captain Hardik Pandya had described the Lucknow pitch as a surprise after barely achieving the target of 100 runs in the last over. The curator was blamed for the unusual behavior of the pitch and was sacked. The third and final match of the series will be played in Ahmedabad on 1 February.

Suryakumar Yadav said on the eve of the third and last T20 match of the series, we (Hardik and I) talked about it later and decided that whatever pitch we get in future, we will not complain. That's totally fine. He said that it does not matter on which pitch you play. These things are not in your control. We did what was in our control. We had to adapt to that and move on with those conditions, but it was an exciting match.

wicket doesn't matter

Suryakumar Yadav said that any match, ODI or T20, low-scoring or high-scoring, if the match is competitive, then I don't think the wicket (pitch) matters. When you go to the field, you have a challenge. You accept it and move on. Suryakumar, who has been running in excellent rhythm for some time, gave the credit of his success to domestic cricket. Suryakumar of Mumbai said that before making his debut in international cricket, I have played a lot of domestic cricket, which has helped me a lot.

He said that you have to work hard on yourself and I carried forward the hard work done while playing on different challenging pitches. I have learned a lot by watching and talking to so many experienced players in the team. Suryakumar can make his Test debut in the much-awaited series against Australia starting from February 9 in Nagpur. When asked about this, he said that obviously everyone wants to play Test cricket. When you start your cricket at the domestic level, you play only with the red ball and I have played for Mumbai.
