Fans have been waiting for a long time for the final of the World Test Championship (WTC) between India and New Zealand. Both the teams had worked hard for this great match. Both the teams performed brilliantly in this tournament which has been going on for the last two years. The title match was expected to be an exciting one, but the weather in Southampton ruined the fun of the final.

It's been four days since the WTC Finals. Out of this, the first and fourth day's play was completely washed away. Whereas on the second day the game had to be stopped ahead of schedule due to bad light. So far only the third day's play has been completed. Only 141.1 overs have been bowled in four days' play.

So far only one team's innings has been completed in the match. After being invited to bat first, the Indian team scored 217 runs in the first innings. In reply, New Zealand scored 101 runs for the loss of 2 wickets. He is 116 runs behind Team India. This match seems to be moving towards a draw. And in this case both the teams will be declared jointly the winners.

If this match remains a draw then it will be a loss for the Indian team. She will be declared the joint winner but the chance of reaching the top of the ICC rankings again will be lost in her hands. Team India will remain in second place. It will have 122 ratings and with 123 ratings, the Kiwi team will retain the first place.

On the other hand, if Team India had won this match, it would have gained the trophy as well as the ranking. With 124 ratings, she would have overtaken New Zealand to reach the first place. The Kiwis would slip to the second position with a rating of 121.

If New Zealand had won the WTC final, it would have had a rating of 126 and would have remained in the first place. On the other hand, Team India would have stood second with 120 ratings. In such a situation, Team India will be in loss due to the draw of WTC final, while the Kiwi team will be in advantage.
