One such case has come to light in Noida, where a servant who was given the responsibility of guarding the house by a master and he himself robbed the house. The landlord, who was lodged in Delhi's Tihar Jail, had given his house to his servant in Noida for care and that servant, along with his associates, stole goods worth about ₹ 5 crore, including gold, silver, jewelery and a car from the owner's house. . The accused servant and his accomplice have been arrested in Sector 49 police station of the city and at present, Rs 30 lakh has been recovered.

Noida Additional DCP Rannvijay Singh said, "On May 2, Ramu Thape had told the police in a complaint that his owner Piyush Bandopadhyay, who is lodged in Delhi's Tihar Jail in a fraud case, had asked him to take care of his house. Gayadin alias Gopal was given to his driver.

Just a few days after going to jail, the driver Gopal, along with his partner Heera, drove his Ciaz car, a scooty, gold and silver jewelery kept in the house, necessary papers, 2 fridges, 2 LED TVs, sofa, carpet, Loading the washing machine, several ACs and all other similar in the truck and fled. The thieves did not leave a single item in the house. The total value of the stolen goods is around Rs 5 crore. After this the police registered a case and started investigating the matter.

Additional DCP Ranvijay Singh said that the police arrested the main accused servant Gopal resident of Chhatarpur Madhya Pradesh district in this case. Based on the interrogation of Gopal, the police have also arrested another accused Heera resident of Chhatarpur, Madhya Pradesh, involved in the incident. In fact, the owner of the house where the theft took place in the house, Piyush used to run a company named Innovative Ideas and used to give technical support advice to foreign companies.

Piyush was arrested by the EOW team of Delhi Police and sent to Tihar Jail on 28 August 2020 in the fraud case. While going to jail, he had given all the keys of the house, car keys to his driver Gayadin alias Gopal, to look after his house and asked him to take care of all the belongings. In this case of theft of crores, after 10 months, the police have recovered only ₹ 30 lakh. The remaining Rs 4.5 crore is yet to be recovered.
