India-Australia Series, Jasprit Bumrah Injury Update: All the reports are coming out about the Indian cricket team's star fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah. Captain Rohit Sharma has expressed hope that Bumrah will be fit before the last two matches of the Test series against Australia. Now a senior BCCI official has not only broken the hearts of the fans, but has also increased the concern of the team management.

Update given on Bumrah

Meanwhile, a senior BCCI official broke the hearts of all those fans who were hoping to see Bumrah play in the India-Australia Test series. Quoting the official, a report by Inside Sport said- 'There is little chance that Jasprit Bumrah will be able to give his 100% for the Australia series. It is certain that whatever series we play, he will take time to get match fit. Back injury takes time to heal completely and rehabilitation is a long process.

Rohit had expressed hope

The BCCI official further said, 'At this time, he is not available for selection. How long it will take for him to make a comeback is still doubtful. It may take a month or more. Meanwhile, captain Rohit Sharma spoke on Bumrah after the victory in the third ODI of the series against New Zealand. Rohit had hoped that this fast-paced pacer of Team India would be fit before the last two matches of the series against Australia. Please tell that Bumrah has not played any international matches since September last year due to a back injury. He has also not been selected in the team for the first two Test matches against Australia.

Net-practice in NCA

The 29-year-old Bumrah recently did net-practice at the National Cricket Academy (NCA), dashing hopes of an early comeback. Bumrah is currently in Bengaluru and is undergoing rehab. He has so far played 30 Tests, 72 ODIs and 60 T20 Internationals for India. He has been walking away from the field since September last year due to a back injury. If Bumrah is unable to be a part of the Australia series, then the team management will have to show more confidence in his current options.
