Crime / Two girls beaten brutally by family for talking with cousin on phone

In Madhya Pradesh's Dhar district, two sisters of a tribal community were given horrific punishment for talking to their maternal uncle's son on the phone. The relatives beat up the girls mercilessly. When the matter came to light after the video of the incident went viral, the police registered a case and arrested 7 accused.

It is seen in the viral video that some people are beating the girls badly. Somebody grabs the hair and drags them, while some use sticks. Someone is thrashing badly with kicks and fists. The screaming girls beg for mercy, but no one feels pity.

It is being told that the incident took place on June 22 in Pipalwa village. On June 25, when this video reached the police, action started. The girls, aged 20 and 19, were very scared at first, but after being assured by the police, they filed a complaint. Medical examination of the girls has been done.
