Of the 16 dead bodies that came here on Wednesday, 13 were buried in the sandbar.

All the ghats of the Ganges, where people used to go for months, are now lined up for cremation. On Wednesday, the Hindustan team came to know from the villagers that more than four hundred bodies have been cremated at Rautapur Ghat in Hajipur outpost area. Most of them are buried. More than a dozen funerals are being held daily. The count of which was only 2 to 3 twenty days ago. People from two dozen villages, including Pipri, Langadapurwa, Mirzapur, Bhatpurwa, Rajepur, Kanikamau, come to perform the last rites at Rautapur Ghat.

Villagers said that the situation there is very frightening due to the absence of wood on the ghat. The one who arranges decorates the funeral pyre, otherwise most of the dead bodies are buried in sand. The condition is that the corpses are no longer left to the place of burial. Due to this, those coming to perform the last rites have to face a lot of problems. There is neither wood nor space. Around 16 bodies reached the ghat on Wednesday. Two hundred to three hundred meters from the ghat, more than six feet of the pit was dug up and buried. People say that these bodies will flow around the village on the days of floods, due to which diseases will spread. The Ganges water will be polluted. ACM Sadar Satyapriya says that the funeral procession is on the banks of the Ganges, if hundreds of dead bodies are buried, then it will be investigated. Full report will be called.

Sixteen bodies reached by noon on Wednesday

People from rural areas arrive at Rautapur Ghat of Hajipur Chaki area to conduct the last rites. Where sixteen bodies arrived on Wednesday till noon. In which 13 dead bodies were buried by villagers in the empty sand near the ghat. The three dead bodies were buried at a new location at a distance of about 200 to 300 meters when the place was not found on the ghat.

Hindu customs are forced to leave

It costs at least 8 to 10 thousand to get the program done. Which is a huge amount for them at this time.
