Congress vs BJP: There was an uproar in the Rajya Sabha on Tuesday over the statement of Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge. Raising this issue, Union Minister Piyush Goyal demanded an apology from him. He said, 'Yesterday in Alwar, Leader of the Opposition Mallikarjun Kharge gave an indecent speech. The language used is unfortunate. I condemn the way he used foul language, said baseless things and tried to present lies in front of the country. I apologize to him.

The Union minister said, "He (Mallikarjun Kharge) should apologize to the BJP, Parliament and the people of this country who formed the BJP government with full majority." He (Kharge) showed us a glimpse of his mentality and jealousy.

'I can't believe that...'

On the other hand, Union Minister Kiren Rijiju said, 'I cannot believe that Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge can stoop so low and make such objectionable remarks. He should understand his responsibilities as a leader of a political party. We are not enemies, we are rivals. It is distasteful, unfortunate and unnecessary.

What did Khadeg say?

In a public meeting in Alwar on Friday, the Congress President said that former Prime Ministers Indira Gandhi and Rajiv Gandhi sacrificed their lives for the sake of the country and asked, 'Our party leaders have given their lives, what have you (BJP) done? Has any dog even died for your home country?.. Has anyone sacrificed? No. But still they are patriots and if we say anything then we are traitors.

Kharge said, “They are destroying democracy in this way… Sometimes the murderer changes… Sometimes the dagger changes… These people are trying to destroy democracy and the Constitution.”
