India / Viral tweet says 80,000 Indian soldiers applied for sick leaves; govt calls it fake

New Delhi: Government has rejected a viral tweet claiming that over 80,000 soldiers of the Army have applied for sick leave for the first time in 45 years amid reported India-China face off. 

In a tweet, the Press Information Bureau described the claim as fake. Quoting ADG Public Information, Indian Army, the PIB said the soldiers have not applied for sick leaves amid India-China standoff.
