If you recollect Xiaomi around a couple of months ago teased its 100W Super Charge Turbo technology. Until now the 100W Super Charge Turbo technology from Xiaomi was the fastest charging tech in business but that isn't the case anymore. Vivo, on Wednesday, brings a competitor to Xiaomi's its 100W Super Charge Turbo technology. Vivo announces its 120W Super Flash fast charging tech and it is much faster than Xiaomi's 100W Super Charge Turbo technology.

Earlier this week Vivo announced that the company is going to launch its first 5G smartphone at MWC Shanghai 2019 that is to kick start on June 26. Ahead of the 5G phone Vivo announced the world's current fastest charging technology -- 120W Super Flash fast charging - and the company claiming big for this charging technology. For the 120W Super Flash fast charging technology Vivo is claiming that it can charge phones with 4000mAh battery completely - from 0 to 100 per cent - in just 13 minutes.

To recall, at the time of teasing the 100W Super Charge Turbo technology Xiaomi claimed that this technology can charge phones with 4000mAh battery from 0 to 100 per cent in just 17 minutes. In comparison, at least on paper, the Vivo 120W Super Flash fast charging tech seems faster in charging phones.

Vivo claims that the 120W Super Flash fast charging technology from the company can charge a 4000mAh battery smartphone from 0 to 50 per cent in just 5 minutes. The company further says that charging from 51 per cent to 100 per cent will be done in just 8 minutes. To prove its claims Vivo also posted an official video in which phones with 4000mAh battery is seen charging with the latest 120W Super Flash fast charging technology.

As of now, Vivo is yet to launch the 120W Super Flash fast charging technology and neither did the company confirm details about its mass production. Some media reports suggest that the 120W Super Flash fast charging technology may launch with Vivo's flagship phone later this year or next year.
