Bhavneshwar: A shocking case has emerged from Bhubaneswar, the capital of Odisha. In fact, here, a woman who worked as a nurse on good salary left her job and started the funeral of the unclaimed dead bodies with her husband (Nurse Quits Job To Cremate Unclaimed Bodies). The woman took this decision in the midst of a coronavirus crisis when her relatives are also afraid of cremation of infected corpses.

Why did the woman quit her nurse job

Please tell that the name of this woman is Madhusmita Prusti. She said that she used to work in the Panademic Department of Fortis Hospital in Kolkata (Kolkata). He served in the hospital from the year 2011 to 2019. She then decided that she would help her husband in performing the last rites of the unclaimed dead bodies because of a leg injury. She returned to Odisha in 2019 and began cremation of unclaimed dead bodies.

Till now so many bodies have been cremated

Madhusmita said that he cremated the bodies of 300 Kovid patients last year. In the last two and a half years, he cremated 500 unclaimed dead bodies. Although she also faced criticism from the society for performing the last rites when she was a woman, she never withdrew from her work. She works under the Pradeep Seva Trust, the trust is named after her husband.

He further said that he has signed an agreement with Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation. She performs the last rites by transporting the dead bodies from Kovid Hospital.
