Patna: The Modi cabinet has been expanded on Wednesday. In this, about 4 dozen ministers from 16 states were administered the oath.

In this cabinet expansion, if we talk about Bihar, then some questions come out. The biggest question is that in 2019, about which Nitish Kumar was so angry that he turned down the offer of the cabinet at the last moment. Then what happened in the last 25 months that he agreed to what he had rejected earlier. Actually the situation was different in 2019 and after 2020 it is different.

Bihar election results changed role

The results of the assembly elections changed the game of elder brother, younger brother. Nitish Kumar became the younger brother in Bihar and BJP came in the role of elder brother. Ram Chandra Prasad Singh (RCP Singh) wanted a minister at the center in any case. At the same time, Nitish wanted to make Lalan Singh a minister along with RCP Singh. In the midst of all this, the BJP was firm on its formula of symbolic participation.

In the end, Nitish Kumar had to follow the same formula of BJP. On the other hand, Nitish Kumar compromised with this to teach a lesson to Chirag Paswan. In fact, as soon as the discussion of cabinet expansion started. Chirag Paswan from Lok Janshakti Party was decided to become a minister because BJP had already said that it may not have an alliance with LJP in Bihar but it is an ally at the Centre.

LJP was broken at the behest of Nitish

As soon as Chirag's name appeared in the list of contenders for the post of minister, Nitish Kumar started Operation LJP. He put all his soldiers in this work. The leaders of JDU who were in contact with the leaders of LJP, all of them were made to camp in Delhi. There was also a secret meeting of Nitish Kumar and Pashupati Paras. It was decided that LJP's bungalow should be set on fire. Means 5 out of 6 MPs broke the party secretly.

BJP also gave tacit consent?

The game was already done before the ailing Chirag Paswan could understand anything. BJP also had tacit consent in this operation of Nitish Kumar. Actually, the party did not want that there should be any danger on the Bihar government due to the lamp. There was an apprehension that Nitish Kumar could have gone to any extent if Chirag was made a minister at the Centre. Had the government in Bihar been unstable, it would have sent a wrong message in the UP elections and the opposition would have got an issue sitting. So Nitish won here but his desire to get more seats in the Union Cabinet was defeated.

Nitish's hope not fulfilled

Not only this, it was being assumed that the Railway Ministry would come to the share of JDU. The reason for this was because RCP Singh was his PS (personal secretary) when Nitish Kumar was the Railway Minister. Meaning RCP Singh has good experience of working in the Ministry of Railways. Despite this, he was given the Ministry of Steel. At present, Chirag Paswan is in public on the streets of Bihar and his uncle Pashupati Paras is in the AC office of Delhi.
