The year 2025 has been fantastic so far for the Indian stock market in terms of IPOs. As of November 17, 2025, 91 companies have raised over ₹1.52 lakh crore, which is almost equal to the entire 2024 figure of ₹1.59 lakh crore. With just 6 weeks left in the year, experts believe the 2024 record will definitely be broken. A flood of retail investors, strong support from domestic institutions, and despite global uncertainties, India’s primary market continues to remain the world’s No. 1.
Most companies that listed this year made investors happy on the very first day. Around 66% of IPOs closed in the green on listing day. Many of them gave a solid 20–70% premium. But the real twist came in the long term – some initial flops staged stunning comebacks, while some blockbuster listings later turned sluggish.
The table below shows the top performers on listing day and their total returns so far (based on approximate data as of November 18, 2025):
| Company Name | Issue Size (₹ Cr) | Issue Price (₹) | Listing Date | Listing Day Return (%) | Total Return So Far (%) |

Every sunshine has its shadow. Some IPOs crashed right on listing day:
| Company Name | Issue Size (₹ Cr) | Issue Price (₹) | Listing Date | Listing Day Return (%) | Total Return So Far (%) |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| OM Freight Forwarders | 122 | 135 | 08-Oct-25 | -35.9 | -32.8 |

| Laxmi Dental | 698 | 428 | 20-Jan-25 | -28.7 (approx.) | -27.3 |
Most of these suffered from high valuations, weak fundamentals, and poor market sentiment.
The biggest lesson of 2025 – listing day performance is not the final verdict.
These examples prove that if a company’s business fundamentals are strong and market conditions improve, the recovery can be spectacular.
Big names like Groww, Lenskart, Tata Capital, and Zepto are still lined up for the remaining part of the year. Overall, 2025 is firmly on track to break all previous IPO records. But remember – not every glittering IPO is gold. Always check the company’s fundamentals, valuation, and sector growth before investing.
