Diwali 2022: After Diwali, Shri Ram Teerth Kshetra Trust has given good news to the devotees regarding Ram temple. Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, which is constructing Ram temple in Ayodhya, has said that 50 percent work of temple construction has been completed and work progress is satisfactory. The trust allowed the media on Tuesday, a day after Diwali, to visit the place from where the progress of the temple construction could be reviewed. Champat Rai, general secretary of the trust, said, “40 percent of the main temple and 50 percent of the overall work in the complex has been completed. We are satisfied with the progress and quality of construction work.”

During the visit, reporters were also taken to the place from where Prime Minister Narendra Modi had taken stock of the temple construction work last Saturday. Rai told that Rs 1800 crore is estimated to be spent in the construction of the temple. He told that the first floor of the temple will be ready by December 2023. He said that after that on Makar Sankranti on January 14, 2024, the life of Lord Rama would be consecrated in the temple and it would be opened for devotees. He said that the trust has also decided to earmark a place in the temple premises for the installation of statues of prominent saints and saints.

Report sent to PMO

Let us tell you, on August 5 this year, two years were completed for the foundation stone of Ram temple in Ayodhya. Prime Minister Narendra Modi had laid the foundation stone of the Ram temple on August 5, 2020. Last month, a report related to the construction work was sent to the Prime Minister's Office (PMO). Quoting Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, Nipendra Mishra, chairman of the building construction committee, had issued a letter pad at the authorized site regarding the status of the construction of the temple. According to sources, the same report of the progress of temple construction was sent to the PMO.

The work of the womb and ground floor of the temple is in full swing. Plinth work has also been completed. This plinth is made of 17000 stones 5 feet wide and 2.5 feet high. It has been learned that the weight of each granite stone block being installed in the temple is about three tonnes. Four tower cranes and several mobile cranes and other equipment have been installed to lift the stone.

Center for passenger amenities is being constructed

A waiting room, drinking water, toilet and other useful works have been planned for 5000 devotees simultaneously in the temple premises. A Pilgrim Facilitation Center will be set up in the premises for the pilgrims. Devotees will be able to deposit their personal belongings at the pilgrimage center free of cost.
