A horrific road accident in the Kurnool district of Andhra Pradesh has resulted in the deaths of eight individuals and left 10-12 others injured. According to Kurnool police officials, the collision occurred near Chilakaladona village in the Mantralayam Mandal when a Bolero vehicle collided head-on with a ready-mix lorry, while the deceased have been identified as pilgrims hailing from the Chikmagalur region of Karnataka.

The impact of the collision was so severe that five victims died instantly at the scene. Three others succumbed to their injuries while undergoing treatment at a hospital in Yemmiganur. The 10-12 injured persons were immediately rushed to nearby medical centers and Yemmiganur Hospital, where they're currently receiving medical care. The victims were residents of the Chikmagalur district in Karnataka and were traveling to Mantralayam to offer prayers to Sri Raghavendra Swami.
