The holy city of Ayodhya, the abode of Lord Ram, was adorned like a bride once again as it hosted the 9th Diportsav. This year's celebration etched two new world records into history, drawing global attention to the spiritual capital, while the first record was established by lighting an astounding 2,617,215 lamps simultaneously at Ram ki Paidi. The second remarkable feat involved 2,128 sadhaks, archaks, and Vedacharyas performing a collective Saryu Aarti.
Two New World Records at Diportsav
A team from Guinness World Records was present in Ayodhya to officially document these monumental achievements, with drones used for precise counting of the lamps, while this year's record surpassed the previous one of 2,512,585 lamps. The certificate of the Guinness World Record was presented to Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. During the Diportsav, the Ramlala temple was beautifully decorated with flowers. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath himself performed the Aarti for Ramlala. The success of this grand Diportsav was largely due to the tireless efforts of over 33,000 volunteers from Awadh University and various non-governmental organizations. These dedicated volunteers meticulously arranged over 2. 8 million lamps across 56 ghats along the Saryu river, filling them. At Ramkatha Park, CM Yogi Adityanath performed the 'Rajtilak' (coronation) of Shri Ram, followed by a visit to the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple to offer prayers to Ramlala.
