Team India Schedule: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Monday took a big decision and announced significant changes in the upcoming domestic schedule of Team India. In this, the venues of the matches of both the men's and women's teams have been changed. This decision has been taken due to the ongoing construction work in the stadiums and logistical reasons.
Change in the venue of the Test series
The BCCI said that the second match of the two-match Test series against the West Indies starting in October 2025 will be shifted from Eden Gardens in Kolkata to Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. This match will be played from October 10. At the same time, the first match of the Test series against South Africa starting on November 14 will now be played in Kolkata instead of Delhi. Eden Gardens will host a high-profile Test after a long time.
Women's ODI series shifts from Chennai to Chandigarh and Delhi
The BCCI has also changed the venues of the ODI series between the women's teams of India and Australia. Earlier this series was to be held at Chennai's Chepauk Stadium, but due to ongoing construction work there, now two of the three matches will be held at the New PCA Stadium in New Chandigarh and the last ODI will be played in Delhi.
