Bihar News: Bihar BJP Suspends RK Singh, MLC Ashok Agarwal, and Katihar Mayor Usha Agarwal Over Anti-Party Activities

The Bihar unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has recently taken a firm stand against indiscipline and anti-party activities within its ranks, while in a significant move, former Union Minister and ex-MP from Arrah, RK Singh, has been suspended from the party. Concurrently, party MLC Ashok Kumar Agarwal and his wife, Usha Agarwal, who serves as the Mayor of Katihar, have also faced disciplinary action and have been suspended from the party, while all these leaders have been given a week's time to clarify their positions and submit their responses, underscoring the BJP's commitment to maintaining internal cohesion and discipline. RK Singh, who has held crucial positions such as Union Minister of Power in the Narendra Modi government and former Union Home Secretary, is known for his outspoken nature.

His suspension marks a notable development within the party. Singh has consistently been vocal against the internal dynamics of the BJP, leading to public disagreements with the party's top leadership. Alongside RK Singh's suspension, the Bihar BJP has also suspended MLC Ashok Kumar Agarwal and his wife, Katihar Mayor Usha Agarwal, citing anti-party activities. The action against the Agarwal family stems from a controversial decision involving their son, Saurav Agarwal. Ashok Agarwal controversially fielded his son, Saurav Agarwal, as a VIP candidate from Katihar. This move is considered to be in direct contravention of the party's explicit instructions, while defying party directives by fielding a family member as a candidate for another party is directly viewed as an anti-party activity.
