It is claimed to provide effective treatment of Kovid-19. None of these measures or claims have been proved or authenticated by health authorities across the country, but people are being affected in despair to stay safe or to protect their families from the deadly disease.

In this episode, one such video is going viral on the social media platform called 'Lemon Therapy'. According to this therapy, you will need to pour lemon juice in your nose and it can eliminate the infection of deadly virus. A person in the video claims that lemon therapy not only increases immunity but also treats Covid-19 infection. In the viral video, the person says that pouring 2-3 drops of lemon juice into the nose will cleanse the eyes, nose, throat and even the heart within five seconds. The person can be heard in the video that this will also provide relief to those who are suffering from diseases like cold and cough.

The official Twitter page of PIB Fact Check conducted an investigation to verify the veracity of the video. After analysis, he revealed that the claim being made in the video is fake. There is no scientific evidence that Kovid-19 can be treated or overcome by adding lemon juice to the nose. PIB Fact Check reported the viral video as 'completely fake', saying that lemon therapy does not increase immunity nor prevent covid-19 infection. The PIB has clearly stated that such claims are baseless and people are advised not to follow such measures and adopt rules and precautionary measures that are certified on behalf of a doctor or medical professional.
