New corona guidelines - Category of 'at risk' countries ends, those coming from abroad are exempted from home quarantine
The Union Health Ministry on Thursday gave a big relief to international travelers or those coming from abroad in the new Corona Guidelines. The ministry has now abolished the category of 'at-risk countries'. Apart from this, exemption has also been given from mandatory home quarantine of seven days.

Due to the improvement in the situation of Corona, the ministry has given this relief to those coming from abroad. The new guidelines will be applicable from February 14. According to the new guidelines, now there will be no difference between at-risk countries and other countries. The Health Ministry has given relief to those coming to India from abroad from the seven-day home quarantine, but instead entrusted them with the responsibility of self-monitoring their health for 14 days.

Information will be given on the portal before traveling to India

As per the revised guidelines, the passengers who will come to India will have to give complete and factual information in a self-declaration form on the Air Suvidha Portal (https://www.newdelhiairport.in/airsuvidha/apho-registration) before the scheduled journey. In this, they will have to give the details of the last 14 days of travel.

Key provisions of the new guidelines

  • Foreign travelers will have to upload the negative RT-PCR report or certificate of complete vaccination 72 hours before the commencement of the journey on the said 'Air Suvidha Portal'.
  • Along with providing tickets to the passengers, the concerned airlines and travel agencies will have to make them aware of the country's corona protocol and related rules.
  • Only those passengers who will be asymptomatic will be allowed to board the aircraft. They also have to download the Arogya Setu app in their mobile.
  • In the announcements made during the flight, the precautions to be taken regarding Kovid-19 will have to be given.
  • The crew of the aircraft should also always behave in a covid friendly manner. If a passenger shows symptoms of Kovid during the journey or complains of such symptoms, then he will have to isolate according to the prescribed protocol.
