New Delhi : The central government has decided to provide Y category security to former Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Kumar Vishwas. Now Kumar Vishwas will be provided Y category security through the Central Security Agency CRPF. The move comes after allegations were leveled against Vishwas's AAP convener and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal.

Earlier, the Home Ministry had said that the government was reviewing the security of Kumar Vishwas. After reviewing and assessing the threat based on intelligence inputs, they have been given security.

After the review, Vishwas has been given Y category security through the Central Security Agency CRPF. Vishwas had accused Kejriwal of supporting separatists during the campaign for the assembly elections in Punjab. Voting for the Punjab Assembly elections will be held on February 20.

What is Y category security?

A total of 11 security personnel are involved in Y category security. In which there are also two PSOs (Private Security Guards). After assessing the security of a particular person by the Union Home Ministry, they are given security cover based on that. The security system in the country is divided into four phases, with Z+ (Z+) at the top, followed by Z, Y and X category of security.

The security given to Kumar Vishwas now is of Y category. The Y-class security consists of 11 security personnel, including one or two commandos and police personnel. Under this, two private security officers are also offered.

Let us inform that Kumar Vishwas had claimed that Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal dreams of becoming the CM of Punjab or the PM of Khalistan. Kumar Vishwas had accused Arvind Kejriwal saying, "He (Kejriwal) once told me that he is dreaming of becoming the CM of Punjab or the PM of Khalistan."

The Central Government has taken seriously the claims of former Aam Aadmi Party leader and poet Kumar Vishwas. On Friday, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, in response to the letter of Punjab CM Charanjit Singh Channi, has assured to take the matter seriously.
