Rajasthan News: Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot's son Vaibhav Gehlot has reached the headquarters of the Enforcement Directorate. Vaibhav Gehlot has been called for questioning by ED in the FEMA case. The Congress leader was earlier supposed to appear before the ED on October 27 but he had asked for time till October 30. Vaibhav Gehlot was summoned by the Enforcement Directorate under the provisions of FEMA and was asked to appear at the Enforcement Directorate headquarters located on APJ Abdul Kalam Road, Delhi.

The summons issued by ED is related to 'Triton Hotels and Resorts Private Limited'. Apart from this, ED has also recently conducted raids against Wardha Enterprises Private Limited and its associated directors and promoters. Summons have been issued to Vaibhav Gehlot only after interrogating promoter Shiv Shankar Sharma, Ratan Kant Sharma and others.

What is the whole matter

In the month of August, the investigating agency had raided the premises belonging to Wardha Enterprises Private Limited group and its promoter in Mumbai, Delhi, Udaipur and Jaipur. Investigation has revealed that Vaibhav Gehlot and Ratan Kant Sharma are allegedly having an affair. The investigating agency has called Vaibhav Gehlot for questioning under FEMA. Let us tell you that Ratan Kant Sharma and Vaibhav Gehlot are partners in a car rental company. However, Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot and the Congress Party have termed the ED summons as a politically motivated move.

CM Gehlot raised questions on ED

Giving information regarding the issuance of summons to his son by the Central Investigation Agency, Ashok Gehlot said that Vaibhav Gehlot has been asked to appear before the ED in the Foreign Exchange Management Act (FEMA) case. He has also raised questions regarding the timing of the summons sent by the investigating agency. Let us tell you that voting in the 200-seat Rajasthan Assembly is to be held on 25th November. Counting of votes will take place on December 3.
