Relief given to farmers taking loans

Presenting the budget, Khattar said that his government has taken several steps for the welfare of farmers. His government is giving minimum support price on 14 crops. CM said that if defaulter farmers whose loan amount is up to Rs 5 lakh 47 thousand pay by May 31, 2024, their interest and penalty will be waived. Only those farmers whose loan is till 30 September 2023 will get this benefit.

Farmers will get training in drone operation

The Chief Minister told the House that the process of providing training in drone operation to 500 young farmers has been initiated through the state government undertaking ‘Drishya’. The government distributed 11,007 crop residue machines to farmers during the year 2023-24. To reduce the risk of farmers, 21 fruit and vegetable crops were included in the Bhavantar Compensation Scheme. Manohar Lal said that there is a proposal to develop 6 botanical gardens at 6 places in the state. Three new centers of excellence will be established.

It is estimated to increase from Rs 3,70,535 crore in the year 2014-15 to Rs 6,34,027 crore in the year 2023-24. Haryana's gross state domestic product is estimated to grow by 8.0 percent in the year 2023-24. The national gross domestic product is estimated to increase by 7.3 percent during the same period.

The Chief Minister said that the national per capita income at current prices is estimated to increase from Rs 86,647 in the year 2014-15 to Rs 1,85,854 in the year 2023-24. This increase is 114 percent. In Haryana, it is estimated to increase from Rs 1,47,382 in the year 2014-15 to Rs 3,25,759 in the year 2023-24, which is an increase of 121 percent. The share of the secondary sector in the total gross state value added at current prices in the year 2023-24 is estimated at 29.3 percent.

With this, the share of tertiary sector in gross state value added is estimated to increase to 52.6 percent and the share of primary sector to 18.1 percent in the year 2023-24. In the year 2023-24, primary, secondary and tertiary sectors are estimated to grow by 8.6 percent, 6.3 percent and 13.8 percent respectively.

Building global infrastructure will cost so much

Manohar Lal said that in the year 2024-25, public sector undertakings also plan to spend an amount of Rs 8,119.24 crore on the creation of capital infrastructure. Overall, our outlay for this year is estimated to be Rs 63,539.49 crore. No new tax has been imposed in this year's budget.
