Also, a new passenger train between Thrissur and Guruvayur was inaugurated. These services are expected to strengthen Kerala's links with Tamil. Nadu, Karnataka, Telangana, and Andhra Pradesh, facilitating easier travel and trade.

Empowering Street Vendors and Innovation

Beyond transportation, the Prime Minister focused on social welfare and scientific advancement. Under the PM SVANIDHI scheme, credit cards and loan checks were distributed to over one lakh street vendors, providing them with much-needed financial stability. PM Modi also laid the foundation stone for the CSIR-NIIST Innovation, Technology, and Entrepreneurship Hub, which aims to foster a culture of research and innovation in the state. The inauguration of the new Poojappura Head Post Office building further added to the list of gifts for the capital city, ensuring better postal and banking facilities for the residents.
