- Instructions for strengthening the facilities of referral.

Instructions to keep sufficient stock of all essential items including medical oxygen, masks, medicines, PPE kits in advance.

In the letter written earlier, the states and union territories were asked to be prepared for necessary public health measures to meet any emergency. It stressed that the preparedness of COVID-19 health facilities is important. Ensure that states/districts are in a state of readiness to meet the increase in clinical care needs due to any surge in cases.

Earlier, Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya on Friday asked states and union territories to conduct an exercise in all health facilities on December 27 to assess the preparedness of infrastructure with special focus on oxygen plants, ventilators, logistics and human resources. was instructed.

He had said that the Center and the states need to work together and in a collaborative spirit, as was done during the previous surge for prevention and management of Kovid.
