Delhi - Delhi hasn’t got a letter from the Centre inquiring about deaths due to oxygen shortage says, Deputy CM Sisodia.

Delhi's Deputy Minister Manish Sisodia claimed Tuesday the city government had not received any letters from the centre asking if there were deaths in the country's capital due to lack of oxygen during the second wave of Covid.  However, the minister said it had been decided to share all the details with the central government. "You can get this response in front of the Supreme Court and the public," he said in an online briefing. Without taking seriously the oxygen crisis that occurred during the second wave.

"I read in newspaper reports that the centre said it asked state governments to report the number of deaths from oxygen," he said. However, Sisodia said they have not yet received any notification regarding this.  "The Delhi government has not received any letters about oxygen-related deaths.

If you (Center) have not written any letters, how can you say the states are not informing you? We had a committee of inquiry, but you did not. It allowed it (Investigation) to pass through the Delhi LG. ”

The Delhi government believes there has been an oxygen crisis and without an investigation, it is difficult to tell whether or not it resulted in deaths, he said.
