Diwali Week Trading Schedule

This year, Kartik Amavasya will begin at 3:44 PM on October 20 and conclude at 5:54 PM on October 21. Traditionally, Lakshmi Pujan is performed on the first day of Amavasya. Many anticipated a Diwali holiday on October 20, but the stock exchanges have clarified that markets will remain open for normal trading on October 20. The stock market holiday will be observed on October 21 for Diwali/Lakshmi Pujan. Also, markets will also remain closed on the subsequent day, October 22, for Diwali Balipratipada, while this means that during the Diwali week, there will be no trading for two consecutive days, October 21 and 22. On top of that, October 25 (Saturday) and October 26 (Sunday) will be weekly holidays, leading to a total of four market holidays for investors during the entire week.

New Muhurat Trading Timings

As is customary, Muhurat Trading will be conducted on Diwali. This special one-hour trading session is considered highly auspicious for initiating new investments. This year's Muhurat Trading will take place on Tuesday, October 21, 2025. However, there's a change in the trading time.
