Sonali Phogat Case: Haryana government has written a letter to Goa CM Pramod Sawant regarding Sonali Phogat's murder case. The Haryana government said that the murder of Sonali Phogat should be probed by the CBI. Sonali's family on Saturday met Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar and gave a written application to demand a CBI inquiry into the entire matter.

Sonali's family has made serious allegations saying that big faces can also be involved in this murder. On the basis of the letter of the family, the Haryana government wrote a letter to the Chief Minister of Goa that the matter should be probed by the CBI. On this matter, Goa Police said that a team of police officers will visit Hisar in Haryana tomorrow to confirm some of the allegations and suspicions leveled by Sonali Phogat's family.

What did the Chief Minister of Goa say?

Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant has said that Sonali Phogat murder case will be transferred to CBI if needed. CM Sawant said that all the accused have been arrested and further investigation is on. He also said that the Chief Minister of Haryana has been apprised of the investigation. All the reports have been sent to DGP Haryana. If needed, the CBI will also be involved.

Sonali Phogat was found dead in Goa

42-year-old Haryana BJP leader and actress Sonali Phogat was declared brought dead on August 23 at St. Anthony's Hospital in Anjuna, North Goa. The post-mortem report revealed injuries on his body, following which the Goa Police had registered a case of murder. Goa Police had said that Sonali Phogat was forcibly administered narcotics by two of her associates, who have been arrested after being made accused in the case.

So far 4 people have been arrested in the case

Goa Police said that Sonali's PA Sudhir Sangwan and his associate Sukhwinder Singh were arrested. The police have also arrested two more people Edwin Nunes and suspected drug smuggler Dattaprasad Gaonkar in connection with the murder of Sonali Phogat. Police said investigation revealed that the drugs were supplied by a man named Dattaprasad Gaonkar, who worked as a room boy at Hotel Grand Leoni Resort in Anjuna, where the accused man and the deceased were staying.
