Howrah-Bhubaneswar Jan Shatabdi Express derails in odisha

Odisha | The Howrah-Bhubaneswar Jan Shatabdi Express derailed near Bhadrak in Odisha on Saturday evening. However, no casualties have been reported in this incident. An official of South Western Railway gave this information. In this incident, two wheels of two coaches were derailed.

South Western Railway official AC Sahu said that due to sudden braking, the front two wheels of the guard-cum-luggage van (SLR) fitted after the engine derailed. The reason behind the accident was that the train hit a bull.

No casualty was reported in the incident, the official said. Officials have been sent to the spot for repair works. Train services on the 'Down Line' have not been affected.

"It will take 30 minutes to an hour to restore the train service," the official said. All the passenger coaches are on track, only the SLR coach has derailed. Since it is a double line, it will not affect the operation of the train. There will be no hindrance in the repair work.
