Niti Aayog Meeting: Today (Saturday) there will be an important meeting of the NITI Aayog Governing Council in Delhi. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will preside over this meeting of NITI Aayog. All four have announced not to attend the NITI Aayog meeting.

CM Kejriwal's letter

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal also wrote a letter in this regard on Friday. Kejriwal wrote that he would not be able to attend the NITI Aayog meeting due to the recently promulgated ordinance on transfer-posting of officers in Delhi. CM Kejriwal also wrote that there is a strong protest against the ordinance of the Center not only in Delhi but all over India.

Important meeting of NITI Aayog

The 8th meeting of the NITI Aayog Governing Council will be held at Pragati Maidan today (Saturday). Prime Minister Modi will preside over this meeting. The main theme of this meeting of NITI Aayog is 'Developed India @ 2047: Role of Team India'.

Mamata Banerjee government's proposal rejected

However, West Bengal CM Mamta Banerjee had expressed her desire to attend this meeting of NITI Aayog in the beginning of May, but later she refused. After this, the central government 'refused' the TMC government's request to send the state's finance minister and chief secretary.
