In the second Youth Test match played at Mackay's Great Barrier Reef Arena, the Indian U19 team defeated Australia by 7 wickets. After winning the toss and opting to bat first, the Australian U19 team was bundled out for just 135 runs on the opening day. In response, India's top order struggled, but contributions from the lower order helped them post 171 runs in their first innings. Australia's second innings was equally disappointing, as they managed only 116 runs, setting a modest target of 81 runs for India.
India comfortably chased down the target, losing just 3 wickets in 12. 2 overs, bringing the second Test match to an end within two days.
