The Indian U19 team has completed a dominant 2-0 clean sweep in the Youth Test series against Australia U19, concluding their tour with an impressive five consecutive victories on Australian soil.

Second Test Concludes Within Two Days

In the second Youth Test match played at Mackay's Great Barrier Reef Arena, the Indian U19 team defeated Australia by 7 wickets. After winning the toss and opting to bat first, the Australian U19 team was bundled out for just 135 runs on the opening day. In response, India's top order struggled, but contributions from the lower order helped them post 171 runs in their first innings. Australia's second innings was equally disappointing, as they managed only 116 runs, setting a modest target of 81 runs for India. India comfortably chased down the target, losing just 3 wickets in 12. 2 overs, bringing the second Test match to an end within two days. Vedant Trivedi remained unbeaten with 33 runs for India, while Rahul Kumar scored an unbeaten 13. Star batsman Vaibhav Suryavanshi was dismissed for a golden duck in the second innings. Vihaan Malhotra contributed 21 runs, and captain Ayush Mhatre scored 13.

Complete Dominance Across Both Series

Before their 2-0 clean sweep in the Test series, the Indian U19 team had also whitewashed Australia in the 3-match ODI series with a 3-0 victory, while this means Australia suffered five consecutive defeats against the Indian team on their home ground. Earlier in the tour, India had won the first Test in Brisbane by an innings and 58 runs, a match highlighted by a brilliant century from Vaibhav Suryavanshi.
