Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to flag off the much-anticipated Vande Bharat Sleeper train between Guwahati and. Kolkata later this month, marking a significant milestone as it will be the country's first Vande Bharat Sleeper service. Cutting-Edge Safety Systems

From a safety perspective, the Vande Bharat Sleeper train is designed as an advanced mode of transport, incorporating several state-of-the-art systems to ensure passenger security. It features an advanced Fire Safety System for rapid response. In case of a fire, complemented by a Water Sprinkler Machine. The train is equipped with AI Integrated Cameras for enhanced surveillance and security. Sensor doors are also included, ensuring safe and smooth movement for passengers, while Plus, the Automatic Train Protection System (Kavach) and an Emergency Talk-back system are integrated, facilitating communication between passengers and crew during any emergency, thereby elevating the overall safety standards.

Passenger Capacity and Coach Configuration

This 16-coach train boasts a total passenger capacity of 823. While its design speed is 180 kilometers per hour, it will initially operate at a speed of 120-130 kilometers per hour between Guwahati and Kolkata. The coach configuration has been meticulously planned to cater to diverse passenger needs, while the train comprises 11 Third AC coaches, offering 611 seats.
