Early life and education

C P Radhakrishnan, whose full name is Chandrapuram Ponnusamy Radhakrishnan, was born on 20 October 1957 in Tiruppur, Tamil Nadu. He obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree from Chidambaram College, Coimbatore.

Political journey

Radhakrishnan is one of the most senior and respected leaders of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in South India. His political journey began with joining the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) in 1973 at the age of just 16. Later he joined active politics through the Jana Sangh.

Contribution in Parliament

1998 and 1999: Elected MP from Coimbatore Lok Sabha constituency.

Chairman of the Standing Committee on Textiles in Parliament.

Made significant contributions to various financial and public sector undertakings committees.

Role in organisation

2003-2006: President of Tamil Nadu BJP.

Currently a member of the BJP National Executive Committee.

Also served as party in-charge for Kerala.
