PM Modi's special presence in Maldives' 60th Independence DayPrime Minister Narendra Modi will attend the 60th Independence Day celebrations of Maldives as a special guest. The purpose of this visit is to celebrate 60 years of friendly relations between India and Maldives. PM Modi said, "India and Maldives have resolved to promote renewable energy. Inauguration of India-Maldives joint projectsPM Modi and President Muizzu inaugurated the new and modern building of the Ministry of Defense of Maldives in Male. During this, India handed over 72 vehicles and equipment to the Maldives National Defense Force. Apart from this, the two leaders inaugurated several other projects completed with the assistance of India, including:
- New building of the Ministry of Defence in Male: This building equipped with modern facilities will strengthen the defence capabilities of Maldives.
- Roads and drainage system in Addu city: This project will improve the local infrastructure and ease the lives of the people.
- 3,300 houses in Hulhumale: This housing project will provide better housing facilities for the people of Maldives.
