Delhi Pollution: Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal held a high level meeting today regarding the increasing pollution in Delhi. It has been decided that odd-even will be implemented in Delhi from 13 to 20 November. Now all types of construction work will remain closed in Delhi. Along with this, instructions have been given to teach online to the students of all classes except 10th and 12th till November 10. The ban on BS-3 petrol and BS-4 diesel cars will continue in Delhi.

Delhi Environment Minister Gopal Rai said that an increase in pollution is being seen in Delhi since October 30. According to the analysis of scientists, the wind speed is being recorded very low and the temperature is also decreasing. In Delhi, work is being done 365 days through summer and winter action plans. A decision on the order for 50 percent employees in government and private offices in Delhi to work from home will be taken later.

Gopal Rai told- why AQI is increasing

Gopal Rai further said that under long-term plans in Delhi, the air was clean for 206 days out of 365 this year, which means that the effect of long-term work is beginning to be seen. Since October 30, the air level has remained low, due to which the AQI is increasing. Today Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal took a meeting of all the departments on this issue and the report of the steps taken so far was given to the Chief Minister. Environment Minister Gopal Rai, Minister Atishi, Saurabh Bhardwaj, Kailash Gehlot and officials of all concerned departments participated in this meeting held in Delhi Secretariat.

What is odd-even?

According to Odd-Even, trains whose numbers end with digits 1, 3, 5, 7 and 9 run on one day, while trains with numbers 0, 2, 4, 6 and 8 run on the second day. This rule applies to petrol and diesel vehicles. CNG vehicles are exempted from this. Trains with numbers 1, 3, 5, 7 and 9 will be able to run in Delhi on 13, 15, 17 and 19 November. Whereas on 14, 16, 18 and 20 November, trains with numbers 0, 2, 4, 6 and 8 will be able to run. Under this rule, exemption is also given to some special people.

Aam Aadmi Party says that only Delhi and Punjab governments are taking steps regarding pollution. Haryana is not serious about this. Aam Aadmi Party's national spokesperson Priyanka Kakkar said in a press conference that Arvind Kejriwal is the only leader who takes short term and long term measures regarding pollution.

31 Percent decline in pollution in Delhi

Priyanka Kakkar said that there has been a 31 percent decline in pollution in Delhi and the Center also accepted this. CAQM reports that there has been a 52-67 percent reduction in stubble burning in Punjab. He said that the stubble burning in Punjab is about 500 km away from here and the stubble burning in Haryana is 100 km away.

What steps did Khattar government take regarding stubble burning?

National spokesperson of Aam Aadmi Party said what steps has been taken by the Haryana government regarding stubble burning. There is news that Haryana government is considering purchasing 100 EV buses. Till now the buses are running on polluted fuel. Haryana's industries, which are mostly in NCR, are also running on polluted fuel. People are using generators even in their homes.

Haryana is getting full support from the Center yet this is the situation

Kakkar further said that while the green cover in Delhi is the highest in the country at 23 percent, it is only 3.6 percent in Haryana. This is when Haryana is getting full funds from the Centre, which Delhi and Punjab do not get.
