This meeting, being held in Bihar for the first time since 1940, is considered historic.

Pappu Yadav, in a statement before the meeting, said, "A historic meeting of the Congress Working Committee is being held in Bihar. Before independence, CWC meetings were held in Bihar to liberate the country. Now, this meeting is being held to liberate the country from 'vote thieves.' This will certainly be followed by the declaration of 'Vote thieves, leave India.'" This statement signals the beginning of a new era in Bihar politics.

Tension between Pappu Yadav and the Grand Alliance

It is noteworthy that despite the Jan Adhikar Party (Democratic) merging with the Congress in 2024, Pappu Yadav has been repeatedly sidelined from the Grand Alliance platforms. During the conclusion of the 'Voter Rights Yatra' at Gandhi Maidan in Patna on September 1, he was not given a place on the stage. He was seen sitting on a chair on the road and listening to the speech, while Rahul Gandhi and Tejashwi Yadav were present on the stage. Furthermore, during the Bihar bandh on July 9th, security personnel prevented him from boarding Rahul and Tejashwi's vehicle. These incidents angered Pappu Yadav's supporters.
