A lawyer, identified as Rakesh Kumar, allegedly attempted to attack him. However, security personnel immediately intervened, detained the lawyer, and removed him from the premises. Justice Gavai, maintaining restraint, instructed the security personnel to ignore the incident and release the accused with a warning.Note Found on the AccusedAccording to police sources, a note was recovered from the possession of the accused lawyer, Rakesh Kumar, which read, "Hindustan will not tolerate the insult of Sanatan Dharma." This note has raised questions about the motive behind the incident. However, Justice Gavai remained unperturbed by the incident, continuing his hearing and maintaining the dignity of the court.Supreme Court Advocates-on-Record Association CondemnsThe Supreme Court Advocates-on-Record Association passed a resolution strongly condemning the incident. The association termed it a conspiracy to undermine the dignity and authority of the Supreme Court. The association's secretary said in a statement, "This act is not only contempt of court, but a deliberate conspiracy that attempts to tarnish the reputation of the Supreme Court." He demanded the Supreme Court to take suo motu cognizance of the matter and initiate appropriate action.
