By News Helpline – Mumbai | Sushant Singh Rajput's demise has triggered the debate of nepotism prevailing in the industry. How it does not open its arms to outsiders and their talent is not nurtured the way it should be. While many stars who have experienced this second hand treatment came and spoke their hearts out, and it was being speculated that a big change is beckoning. Yet another issue popped up yesterday when Disney+Hotstar announced the release of seven films on their platform.

Big stars and big names in the industry have always been hogging the limelight and unfortunately even after so much backlash this has not changed at all. Yesterday, a virtual press conference was held to announce release of 7 films that include Akshay Kumar's 'Laxmmi Bomb', Ajay Devgn's 'Bhuj-The Pride of India', Alia Bhatt's 'Sadak 2', Abhishek Bachchan's 'The Big Bull',  Late actor Sushant Singh Rajput's 'Dil Bechara', Vidyut Jammwal's 'Khuda Haafiz' and Kunal Khemu's 'Lootcase'. While, the first four actors were invited for this announcement, none of the crew members from the latter three films were invited to be a part of this conference.

This did not go well with the two lead actors of the film 'Khuda Haafiz' and 'Lootcase' and both of them expressed their anger over the  vicious cycle that still follows in the industry of only recognising the big names and star kids.

Vidyut Jammwal expressed his displeasure and wrote, "A BIG announcement for sure!! 7 films scheduled for release but only 5 are deemed worthy of representation. 2 films, receive no invitation or intimation. It's a long road ahead. THE CYCLE CONTINUES."

Kunal Khemu also expressed his anger and wrote, "Izzat aur pyaar maanga nahi kamaya jaata hain. Koi na de toh usse hum chhote nahi hote. Bas maidaan khelne ke liye barabar de do chhalaang hum bhi oonchi laga sakte hain. "

Both their tweets squeal the pain that the small and talented actors have to go through in the industry because they are not considered worthy and not weighed as par to the big names even after giving such brilliant performances one after the other! This depicts the cycle that has been prevailing in the industry for decades and even after resentment from the public and these actors, it continues to be followed.

Looks like many more Sushant's will have to be sacrificed for the industry to bring this change and to give the deserved respect and appreciation to every talented actor irrespective of their background!!
