JIO Financial: Shares of Jio Financial Services saw a tremendous surge on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) on Friday morning, which is directly related to the company's new approvals related to broking and investment. The Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) has given formal approval to Jio BlackRock Broking Private Limited to act as a stock broker and clearing member, which led to enthusiasm among investors.

Shares surged

On Friday, Jio Financial's stock opened at Rs 313.85, up from its previous close of Rs 312.40, and rose 4.5% to a high of Rs 326.55 during the day. At around 11:05 am, the stock was trading at Rs 326, showing a strength of 4.35%. This was the fourth consecutive day when the stock saw a positive trend.

Approval of broking and investment advice

In an exchange filing made by Jio Financial on June 27, it was told that SEBI has issued a certificate of registration to Jio BlackRock Broking Private Limited (JBBPL) as a stock broker and clearing member on June 25, 2025. Apart from this, on June 10, 2025, SEBI also granted permission to Jio BlackRock as an investment advisor.

Mutual fund business also got approval

In May 2025, SEBI approved Jio BlackRock Mutual Fund to act as an investment manager, giving another important basis to the expansion of Jio's financial services.

Investment of Rs 190 crore in Jio Payments Bank

JFSL has invested Rs 190 crore in its wholly-owned subsidiary Jio Payments Bank Ltd. The company made this investment by buying 19 crore equity shares in cash at a face value of Rs 10.
