All types of social, political, sports, entertainment, cultural and religious gatherings have been banned in Delhi. - The Delhi government on Saturday announced strict restrictions in view of the rising cases of Kovid-19 in the national capital. Permission has been granted to operate metro, DTC and cluster buses with 50 percent capacity. Apart from this, only 50 guests will be able to attend the wedding ceremony.
- The Delhi government has banned all social, political, sports, entertainment, cultural and religious gatherings in view of the increase in Kovid-19 cases. As per the order issued by the Delhi Disaster Management Authority (DDMA), all colleges, training and coaching institutes in Delhi will remain closed. However, for educational guidance, teachers have been allowed to call the students of 11th-12th school. Except these, all other government and private schools in Delhi will also remain closed till April 30.
- Amidst the rise in corona virus cases, the Mathura district administration has decided that people will not be allowed to enter temples in the district without wearing masks.
- District Magistrate Navneet Singh Chahal said that no one will be allowed to enter Mathura, Vrindavan, Govardhan, Barsana and other temples without a mask. People have to follow the rules of Kovid-19 while going to the temple.
- Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray on Saturday hinted for a lockdown in view of the worrisome situation of Kovid-19 in the state, and called for strict restrictions to protect the link between lifesaving and the spread of corona virus. In an all-party meeting organized in a digital way to discuss the situation of Kovid-19 in the state, the Chief Minister also said that his government will also find a solution for the livelihood of the poor, laborers and daily laborers.
- In Uttar Pradesh too, night curfew has been announced in some districts including Gorakhpur. The district administration has decided to impose night curfew to control the spread of Kovid-19 infection in Gorakhpur district. Gorakhpur is the home district of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. On the instructions of the Chief Minister, night curfew has already been imposed in many districts including the capital Lucknow. - In view of the increase in cases of Corona virus in Bihar, an all-party meeting will be held on 17 April under the chairmanship of Governor Fagu Chauhan. According to a press release issued by the Raj Bhavan on Saturday, a digital all-party meeting will be held on April 17 at 11 am under the chairmanship of the Governor to discuss the growing corona crisis in the state.
- In view of the increasing cases of corona virus, on Saturday, the Gujarat State Election Commission (SEC) decided to postpone the Gandhinagar Municipal Corporation elections to be held on April 18. The election has been postponed indefinitely at the request of the main political parties including BJP, Congress, AAP and several social groups, a government statement said.
